There is no code for ACS in ICD-10. When a Data Collector see only an ACS (acute coronary syndrome) diagnosis on a chart, then they should seek information to code one or more of the following:
Choose from among:
- some of Category:Myocardial Infarction
- some of Category:Arrhythmia
- some of Category:Ischemic heart disease
oxygen supply/demand issues
ACS can also be due to oxygen supply/demand issues eg. anemia, bleeding, stress, etc., in that case code as above and also code the issue that is the cause if possible.
