Impact of WRHA changes on collection

• will the program be collecting the new "COMPLEX CARE patients" which will be coded as Medicine pts? with the new changes on October/17
  • No information yet, meetings are planned, info will be provided as it becomes available.
  • Question re. resources for stress related to the disruption; there are no specific resources for this, but the usual resources such as mployee Assistance Program (EAP) are available.

Taking a screenshot

• revisit how to do Taking a Screenshot; need to use the "Alt" key as described in that article to only take a shot of what you actually want to send. Getting a lot of two-screen wide shots with other applications open these days. Will show-and-tell.
  • Reviewed, all are now aware how to do this

TISS item 12 - fluids given via IV

Discussed what is and isn't included as fluids. Clarified that only the items on the TISS form are included, i.e. red blood cells are not. See T10 - More than 5 liters IV fluid per day (TISS Item).

Sending time

• Sending Time by DC - morning (until 10:30 am) vs afternoon (from 2:00 to 3:30 ?) what are the advantages and disadvantages?
  • It was decided to change the sending date and time to 14:30-15:45

Staff Re-allocations

• Shared experience of collectors who have collected at multiple sites and invited expression of interest from anyone who would like to try working at a different site.

Tab order on Dispo screen

• There has been a suggestion to change the tab order of fields on the Dispo tab. Seeking collector input.
  • Only one collector fully uses tabbing in the complete Dispo Tab. Identified a few fields where people don't want the order changed. The order proposed by the only collector who uses the feature.

PHIA review

• New PHIA policy requires review of PHIA training every three years. Rachael Porter will provide training.
  • PHIA was reviewed for all present
  • Those who were not at the meeting will need to attend session or do LMS training by July 31. Trish will follow up.

Communication when transferring patients

• discuss how you communicate transferring patients (incl "generate email" button); does it have all the details we need, eg Transfer Ready DtTm? Collectors, please be prepared to discuss how you do this.
  • Agreed to change the auto-text from the button as follows:
    • Add Transfer Ready DtTm (reasons)
    • Add any pneumonia diagnosis; include disclaimer that this may no longer be active on next ward
  • decided not to add comorbids
  • discussed details about Transfer Ready DtTm; will update the article and request comments from collectors to see if it is now clear.
