The WBC field is used to collect a patient's White Blood Count level for an APACHE II & MOST Score. Refer to here for info on which value to use and how and when to collect this.
Data Integrity Rules
The WBC must be >=0.02 or <= 517. The synching to the CCMDB.mdb will fail if it is outside of that range.
APACHE Missing Value Rule
- if not done or not available, record normal.
- If a patient does not have a WBC drawn do you want a specific number to indicate normal so all data collectors use the same number if their patients dont have blood work drawn?
