The WBC field is used to collect a patient's White Blood Count level for an APACHE II & MOST Score. Refer to here for info on which value to use and how and when to collect this.
Data Integrity Rules
The WBC must be >=0.02 or <= 517. The synching to the CCMDB.mdb will fail if it is outside of that range.
APACHE Missing Value Rule
- if not done or not available, record normal. Use 4.5.
- Normal WBC - international units as 4.5 to 11.0 x 109 cells per liter.
