The WBC field is used to collect a patient's White Blood Count level for an APACHE II & MOST. Refer to here for info on which value to use and how and when to collect this.
Select the WORST deviation from normal during the first 24 hours in ICU.
Data Integrity Rules
The WBC must be >=0.02 or <= 517. The synching to the CCMDB.mdb will fail if it is outside of that range.
APACHE Missing Value Rule
- if not done or not available, record normal. Use 4.5.
- Normal WBC - international units as 4.5 to 11.0 x 109 cells per liter.
