This procedure is a part of CCI Collection via CCI Picklist.
Additional Info
Only track whole body cooling or warming done for post-Cardiac arrest.
If a patient receives post-arrest cooling or warming (targeted temperature management, TTM), code it. It doesn't matter for how long the cooling was applied or whether the Cardiac Arrest Cooling Protocol was followed. Hypothermia is not always needed. The idea is to keep the patient's temperature from going high. Usual maintenance temp is 36 degrees.
