Revision as of 17:17, 2014 June 3

I just had confirmation from DJ Berania at eHealth that our current Lab Downloader for HSC will quit working once HSC moves to EPR. I believe the scheduled date for that is sometime in October 2014. If the lab downloading that Allan is working on doesn’t get set up before then we will need an alternate way to get this data at HSC. Most likely option is to get the HSC ICU data collector to start collecting the additional 10 lab test as done in all the other ICU in Region.Tina Tenbergen/ Trish Ostryzniuk 11:47, 2014 June 2 (CDT) Template:Potential Change

Lab download program change dates at HSC

  • From June 1988 to late 1993, all lab test were manually counted from charts or computer screen from old OER (Order Entry/Results Reporting System).
  • OER changed to RTS (Results Reporting System) March 26, 2002.
  • Blood gas downloading (AO2) started May 3, 2004.
  • Interfacing with the new DELPHIC Results Reporting System (RTS) started:
    • March 6, 2006 @ 0700 hours for Chemistry and Hematology
    • March 27, 2007 @ 0800 hours for Microbiology
  • The HSC lab 1993 lab extractor program was written by Wes Brown and Vance McFadden from computer services here at HSC.
  • The program was rewritten by Eric Brusse, when HSC changed from OER to RTS March 26, 2002. At the time Eric apparently put together a some sort of powerhouse screen to perform a similar function against the new RTS.
  • Eric also had to rewrite some of the program again in March 2006 when HSC changed to the new DELPHIC lab system.
