Hi, hello, what is a green link above that leads to nowhere? I have seen and few of these being planted around. Thanks. Trish Ostryzniuk 18:20, 2013 October 9 (CDT)
Green Links
To create a complete reference to an external file use the: <file></file> tags
As a new user I found some hand-crafted references to files that were incomplete or required more familiarity with the network/system to decipher. All of the files that were causing me issue were external to the wiki - these files all reside in various file-shares on the internal network. I would find descriptive text along the lines of the following (slightly exaggerated): On the regional server go to the project folder and open the data file
- These green links were implemented so that there would be accuracy in documenting files external to the wiki.
- The links are complete references to the files we use with no descriptive text slowing down the process of finding the files.
- You can right click on the link and select 'Copy Link Location' then paste that into windows explorer (file browser) address bar
- You can drag and drop the links
For general purpose security your browser is configured to prevent file access on your computer or local network. This behaviour prevents malicious web pages from accessing your hard-drive. So be careful if you decide to alter this behavior.

How does data get into Centralized data.mdb
version 2012-12-21 implemented sending of data to Centralized_data.mdb.
This is accomplished by queries run at sending time. See sub send_data() for details.
Finding and fixing Errors
Will need to implement tools in centralized_data.mdb to help Pagasa with error checking. All data will be checked. Pagasa will correct "sent" data, for incomplete data she will notify collector. Doing that should probably be facilitated. Possibly in the future we can have a mechanism where Pagasa can just "reject" data that is bad, and where it will be sent back to collectors, either at n&b time, start time, or send time... needs to be thought about.
