HSC Nursing Home Ward

A nursing home ward is being set up temporarily at HSC on RR2 to host patients that should be discharged to a nursing home but for whom there currently isn't space. (use to be GG7).

  • Collectors will code the discharged to or admit from as: Nursing Home HSC in CCMDB.mdb
  • The discharge or admit location will show as NH in CFE

Medicine Var 1 and Var 2

If ADMIT FROM or DISCHARGE TO is Nursing Home HSC, then leave Med Var 1 - Admit-from Ward or Med Var 2 - Discharge-to Ward BLANK.

patients admitted from this ward can be coded as having HAP-Hospital Acquired Pneumonia
