EPR Integrator excluded by [[Arrive_DtTm]]/''Service Start Dtm'' resp [[EPR Admit DtTm]]. Excluding based on that meant that, if a patient changes units later on but remains on the same service, those moves would be hidden as well. That's why it changed to Unit Start Dtm in Cognos. The EPR Reports use inconsistent values for this so I don't think we can change its behaviour to be same as Cognos, this was one of the main reasons we went to Cognos data: it doesn't consist of three uncomparable lists.

The "exclude" button hides records that have been vetted by a collector as something we don't need to collect in Cognos2 Service Starter/Cognos2 Unit Starter. In Patient Viewer Tab Cognos ADT2 it doesn't hide it, because the record needs to be visible there in order to be able to hide it from the others. However, records that have been excluded will have a red backdrop here.

When would a record be marked as excluded?

  • patient at a location that we include where only some of the patients are ours, but pt is not under our service
  • unit or service has a wrong time; enter the record into the profile, and then exclude the line in the Cognos listing so it doesn't clutter things.

Mistakes

If a record has been mistakenly excluded, use the "View exclusions" button to find it, and delete the line on that list to bring it back.

Workings of the "exclude" button

Service exclusion

Specific service/patient/time listings from Cognos can be excluded from CSS or CE.

So, if you e.g. can use the start of a service, but the end is inconsistent with other observations, then make sure you finish entering the start using the Cognos tools before you exclude the service to e.g. make it stop showing up in CE.

Unit exclusion

Specific unit/patient/time listings from Cognos can be excluded from CUS.

So, if you e.g. can use the start of a unit, but the end is inconsistent with other observations, then make sure you finish entering the start using the Cognos tools before you exclude the unit to e.g. make it stop showing up in CUS.
