This is not about Chronic Health APACHE or the APACHE Comorbid Diagnoses.

Additional Info

The APACHE Acute Diagnoses is a component of the APACHE Score. This is not collected specifically, but instead assigned behind the scenes based on whether the Primary Admit Diagnosis is on a list of diagnoses that correspond to the diagnoses in the original Apache study.

  • Julie, L_ICD10_APACHE_Dx query doesn't limit the calculation to the Primary Admit Diagnosis, and in fact that query includes in its output the statement "these are totally not right yet, just starting the query.". That makes me think the actual use of these must live in SAS. Is that so, and does it really only use the Primary Admit Diagnosis there? Ttenbergen 21:50, 2020 July 23 (CDT)
