This article describes how to obtain an Adult abuse registry check (AARC).

  • (must be current within 6 months if new employee)

To obtain a Adult abuse registry check:

  1. Those living within Manitoba, go here for information on how to obtain the AARC.
  2. Those living outside of Manitoba in Canada: Provinces may create their own registries however Canada does not have a National registry.
  3. Those living outside of Canada: a Google internet search revealed they don't seem to exist.
  • AARC must be submitted to employer within 4 weeks of start date of work.
  • May, 2013 - Please note, as WRHA policy requires the Vulnerable Sector Search (VSS) to be included in the Criminal Record Check and RCMP policy states that the VSS must be conducted by a local police agency.
