The client registry is a joint effort of Manitoba eHealth and Manitoba Health and Healthy Living, and is supported by Canada Health Infoway, Sierra Systems, InfoMagnetics Technologies Corporation, and EDS (Electronic Data Systems).

According to Shared Health the client registry stores and links demographic and selected personal information such as a client’s name, address, date of birth and medical record number to identify individuals across healthcare facilities.

Manitoba Health Registry System vs Client Registry

The Client Registry is downstream from Manitoba Health Registry System and is the system that interfaces with our hospital systems such as EPR. In theory the two systems contain the same information related to PHIN, names, addresses, etc) but I understand that there may be scenarios where the client registry (which is downstream) is actually more current than the Manitoba Health Registry.
