*** Thanks. As Trish mentioned below, it should not have to be a one way street. If any of you see the server up, or want to call the help desk (940 8500) for an update, please post the news! [[User:Ttenbergen|Ttenbergen]] 12:55, 6 November 2008 (CST)

Regional Server Problems

  • The regional server is still having intermittent problems. I would suggest giving it a time-out for the rest of the day to see if its attitude will improve. Ttenbergen 14:35, 6 November 2008 (CST)

Network Issue

Some people are having trouble accessing the wiki this morning. There is a known network issue right now, a lot of traffic is being blocked. The problem should be fixed "soon", i.e. in the next few minutes. A re-boot might be required to bring the Internet access back to normal. This should fix the wiki access, but the regional server is still down. Ttenbergen 11:39, 6 November 2008 (CST)

A study using our data

A study based on our data was featured in the Free Press! See the article.

Organization of Information

This wiki was implemented because we identified a need to improve communication for the CCMDB and to centralize where we keep our documents. To make sure we all have the same understanding of how we will communicate with this wiki, please read and contribute to Communication via this wiki.

For more information on editing pages, see the Editing Tips.

As this wiki is growing (now at 7,151 entries), the easiest way to find information is to use the "search" bar on the left side. To see a list of recent changes, click on the "Recent Changes" link in the navigation panel on the left.

If you can not find information you are looking for, it might not have been added yet. In that case, make a new entry and add it to the Category:Questions category. There are instructions at that link on how to do this. Anyone is also encouraged to keep an eye on that category and to answer or further qualify.

Discussion

  • Tina, thank you for relaying the studies and articles which utilize the data we collect, it is nice to be kept in the loop--JHutton 13:22, 5 November 2008 (CST)
  • I think having the coding guide on the WIKI is a great idea. This is a forum for data collectors to see exactly how other sites code aquired complications. WGobert 09:25, 6 November 2008 (CST)
  • Keep in mind that in order for this guide to continue to grow and improve, a collaborative approach is absolutely necessary. All team members of this project must contribute not only by posting questions but also by providing suggestions and input to the questions being asked, be it your own or others. If you have a question that you can look on the internet, say the WIKIPEDIA, and you are certain it will help other collectors then please post the question and answer here. Thanks everyone for you continued contributions.TOstryzniuk 09:59, 6 November 2008 (CST)
  • I too think that letting us know where and how our data is utilized is very nice for us to see. DSchaefer 10:46, 6 November 2008 (CST)
