Data Collection

For any medicine record, enter the Minimal dataset +

• ADLs (ADL General Collection Information)
• Pre acute living situation - to know if they came from a Personal Care Home or Chronic Health Facility
• Province (although we could use the Postal Code instead)
• Glasgow Coma Scale
• any Admit Diagnoses contributing to the Charlson Comorbidities in ICD10 codes of Chronic pulmonary disease, Congestive heart failure, Rheumatic disease or Renal disease(as generated using same mechanism as s_ICD10_Charlson_Comorbids query; let's not use a separate list for this)
• Admit Diagnosis or Comorbid Diagnosis of Dementia:

Dementia codes:

Alzheimer's disease/dementia Dementia, NOS Multi-infarct dementia

• Previous Location if that is still what we want to use for "from out of town" now that we have Postal Code.

Generation of data (will be moved before go-live)

• In the generation of data, I have used the following:

OutsideWPG - I have used Previous Location because Leigh Anne specified the patient came from a facility outside of Winnipeg. MB - I would think Leigh Anne had used the Province because the data set has no Postal Code yet I just checked the query check_from_out_of_town I used to derive this and it only considered Pre-admit Inpatient Institution having geog like "out-of*"! Charlson categories are provided but the CCMDB Script model only includes MI, Pulmonary, Connective, Renal It also contains the full score as part of Charlson_nh. • • NH (Nursing Home) - these data are from the tmp Overstay and the NH start dates from Manitoba Health which DR Roberts requested. we do not have the Pre acute living situation at that time but I agree just to use the Pre acute living situation . When I Have looked at the CCMDB script I noticed that NH includes PCH and Chronic Health Facility, is this correct?
• ADL score - I have used the 0,3,6 values (same ADL as in ALERT score)

ADLmean_nh - in the CCMDB Script it is written -- Adlmean_nh = (ADLScore - 12)*(from a nursing home), what does 12 mean? Very good question. The function adl_sc used to get the individual scores just generates a score of 0, 3 or 6, or -1 if given bad input. That doesn't explain why -12. And I can't imagine why this would be. But it's consistent between two functions, so unlikely to be just a finger fumble. Ttenbergen 19:15, 25 January 2025 (CST) looks like ADLmean does not imply average of the 6 individual ADL categories (e.g. total ADL SCore/6) but (TOTAL ADL Score -12). I'm guessing here, maybe 12 is the Grand Mean of total ADL and Leigh Anne is trying to evaluate the deviation of the individual data point from the mean of the dataset of those from Nursing Home . --JMojica 09:29, 27 January 2025 (CST)

Special Cases

Data generation and Storage

A button on the Patient viewer form triggers code in VBA module Overstay2 that generates an overstay score and colours the button based on that value.

The value is stored in L_TmpV2 table with Project "Overstay2" and Item "Overstay Score". During early testing, the score is 999998 just to have a crazy outlier so we remember to exclude these later. That number turns the button blue.

This data is being collected as for Project Overstay2.
