How about CPAP/BIPAP?
- Not sure if Julie is would include T21 (non invasive CPAP or BIPAP).--Trish Ostryzniuk 18:23, 2014 April 30 (CDT)
- That would have implications for the definition of VAP, where it says "IF a patient has been on a device to assist respiration (ventilator) either continuously or intermittently through a tracheostomy or endotracheal tube (ETT)"; does that give an indication whether CPAP/BIPAP should be allowed to qualify for VAP? - I implemented this without CPAP/BIPAP for now, don't think those are supposed to be included, especially with how many people are on CPAP at home now. Ttenbergen 17:43, 2017 April 20 (CDT)
- For VAP, the invasive mechanical ventilation is considered and not the non-invasive CPAP or BIPAP. So the current check is fine. --JMojica 11:46, 2017 April 21 (CDT)
