Setting up Regional EPR Access for Data Collectors

The EPR is now used at all sites. Because collectors require access to other sites' data, accounts for data collectors are set up differently than other site staff. The EPR accounts are actually set up by the "acute care" group.

When a new collector is hired, a new, separate EPR account is set up in addition to any local hospital accounts they might have. The account name will be the regular login followed by xxdc, example: tostryzniukxxdc. Collectors should use this account exclusively for their data collection work.

Setting up a new collector

The Manager submits an ACTM form to Service Desk as part of the Hiring a New Data Collector process.

  1. check off EPR box and under Role put: set up alternate account, xxdc.
  2. Access Web Reports
  3. On the form at the bottom in the comment section: Please setup as a "WRHA regional data collector" account to be generated as per information including Data Collector Role in the Account Management Instructions that are on file in eHealth. EPR alternate account and Web reports required
  4. on this form you must also indicate which email distribution lists person will be on. Example: DC HSC CC, DC CC
*on the ACTM form should we also provided Regional Server Share info, or is that still in the instructions on file with eHealth?
