Sorting in PatientList breaks when some Cognos Entries are done

There seems to be a scenario where a patient is added through one of Cognos tools (Cognos Admitter was mentioned), and after that patient's record is closed the sorting buttons in Patient List no longer work. Closing and re-opening the list makes them work again.

Tried to replicate this problem as follows:

  1. open Patient List from Main Form
    • open
  2. open Cognos Admitter from Main Form
    • scroll to bottom and click the white "+" on a patient that has not been entered yet
  3. this opens Patient Viewer with the new pt data
  4. change focus back to Patient List
    • click sorting button on Last Nm
    • List sorts as expected
  • Can someone tell me what I need to do different to replicate the problem? Or do these steps actually lead to not being able to sort after on another laptop? I know Pam has demonstrated it on her laptop, but I didn't get a chance to troubleshoot further at the time. So I have seen it happen, but I have just messed with it for half an hour and can't make this go wrong on my laptop. Ttenbergen 19:14, 2020 November 26 (CST)
    • If cognos admitter/discharger/CSS/CE/CUS etc. is viewed only, columns do not freeze. It is after actually entering data using cognos tools that columns freeze.
      • tried that: did 'click the white "+"' to add a patient, but it didn't freeze for me. So I wonder if you guys are doing an additional thing to the series of steps I wrote that actually breaks the sorting. Ttenbergen 10:33, 2020 December 1 (CST)

Steps to replicate problem from Pam

  • With entry of any data using ADT2 tab into a profile will result in patient list freezing.
    • This happens even if the PatientList was closed (and maybe it happens only if it was closed? )
