We have two fields Start Date field and Start Time field that hold an automatic time stamp from when a record is first created. They are in two separate fields because way back when this was created we used software that stored date and time separately. Since they will generally be considered together, this page contains details for the combination of those fields.

Use

This data is mostly used to better understand the work flow in our data collection. Generally, the difference between the Accept DtTm and the Start Date and Time tells us what we can expect for a delay before the Minimal Data Set would be available.

ICCS pts can be entered before they are actually in the unit as most are elective surgeries, & you can tell via EPR when they have gone to the OR, and then assume they will be coming post-op. Very occasionally, if the pt. expires in the OR or is sent to another unit post-op, and is therefore not admitted to ICCS, and if you have done a news & backup +/or sent files with this profile, you will have to delete the profile on the laptop and notify the main office that this has occurred.

Also, they are part of my patient population because they are elective surgeries and have been entered into an ICCS swing bed prior to arrival.
