We have two fields Start Date field and Start Time field that hold an automatic time stamp from when a record is first created. They are in two separate fields because way back when this was created we used software that stored date and time separately. Since they will generally be considered together, this page contains details for the combination of those fields.

Use

This data is mostly used to better understand the work flow in our data collection. Generally, the difference between the Accept DtTm and the Start Date and Time tells us what we can expect for a delay before the Minimal Data Set would be available.

STB CICU

As per collector:

ICCS pts can be entered before they are actually in the unit as you can tell via EPR when they have gone to the OR, and then assume they will be coming post-op. I have been caught a couple times having to delete this population if they die in the OR and never actually make it to ICCS.

... Also, they are part of my patient population because they have been entered into an ICCS swing bed prior to arrival.

Does something similar happen elsewhere?
