*I have a question for rhabdo =prolong lie do you code as TRAUMA  from the fall or OTHER? How does every one code this?Thanks
}}
* Shirley, I usually code other if there is no noticeable trauma.  If the pt has obvious trauma like soft tissue injury, fractures, etc.  then use the trauma one.

== Coding guidelines ==
Beyond the  usual guidelines, code this diagnosis if serum myoglobin is >= 800 ug/L and requires treatment.Pathogenic threshold for rhabdo renal damage is 800 ug/L.

== RE: Prolonged Lying ==
In the case of a prolonged lying:
* if there is '''noticable''' trauma, & serum myoglobin level is >= 800 ug/L - code Rhabdomyolysis (Myoglobinemia) '''2nd to Trauma''' 357.03
* if there is '''no noticable''' trauma, & serum myoglobin level is >= 800 ug/L - code Rhabdomyolysis (Myoglobinemia) '''2nd to Other''' 357.90
