**In addition to the Manitoba hospital number codes there are codes that can be use for patient who are admitted from outside of the province, country or continent.

If a patients admitted from a hospital outside the city, province or country, a value needs to be entered into this field.

== Admission from ER at other hospitals==

* If a patient ~~comes~~ from another hospital ~~for example from Gimli~~ ER~~, then the pt goes to the~~ ER at your hospital, and Medicine has accepted the patient as a direct admission~~- you put "admitted from XE". If the intention was to directly admit from the sending facility,~~ then ~~in the~~ tmp ~~file put~~ in ~~the move time to the ward~~. ~~At the bottom~~ of ~~the tmp file put "parked in ER"~~.

If a patient is admitted from another hospital's ER via ER at your hospital and Medicine has accepted the patient as a direct admission then enter a tmp entry as per instructions in [[ER Wait]].
