The date and time formats for the Critical Care and Medicine Databasea are:
The Critical Care and Medicine Database uses different date and time formats throughout as work best for their context. The dates are stored internally in a format-independent way, so we can change this to suit us.

* '''month / day / year''' (Please be extra careful not to transpose month and day)
== Date Format in CCMDB.accdb, front-end and other .mdbs ==
* '''HH:mm''' on the 24 hour clock, i.e. 00:01 – 23:59 (0000 & 2400 is not acceptable)
* most places use yyyy-mm-dd, occasionally yy-mm-dd for short range dates;
* [[Patient List]] uses yymmmdd HH:mm (ie spelled out month) for easier visual but longer field
* A 24-hr clock is used.

== in file formats and other sortable lists ==
In sortable lists attempt to use yyyy-mm-dd (numerical month) with a 24-hr clock because it will sort right. Same applies for file names.

== Date Format on the PCs ==
