FOR LAB test COUNTING:

*1 adult dose count as 5 units in lab data
*2 adult doses count a 10 units in lab data

For TISS platelet workload count see: Item T22 Platelets: TISS Blood Products
*1 adult dose enter as 5 units in lab data
*2 adult doses enter as 10 units in lab data

* will this be in TISS28 and should there be a check for it? discussion
*No, there is no need to include this in tiss 28.

*I just wanted to send out a query to ensure that all the data collectors are following the above rules that in the lab count 1 adult dose = 5 units of platelets. Is everyone doing it this way?  I think that some are not and perhaps we should change this rule to simplify  ie 1=1 would be easier --LKolesar 12:12, 2013 February 15 (EST)
