* When a pt goes from ICU to a medicine ward, just make the accept time the same as the arrival time because the medicine doctors do not start looking after the patient until the patient arrives on the ward, even if they have agreed to accept them earlier. In ER, when they accept, then they start looking after the patient at that time, so that is why the accept time is important for medicine in order to determine the amount of time spent in ER before actual arrival. --[[User:LKolesar|LKolesar]] 06:33, 2016 April 27 (CDT) | * When a pt goes from ICU to a medicine ward, just make the accept time the same as the arrival time because the medicine doctors do not start looking after the patient until the patient arrives on the ward, even if they have agreed to accept them earlier. ** There seems to be a conflict with the instructions here. IN the above example(vic N2-S4) when the order was written to transfer the pt from N2 to S4 on april 21 @ 1530 this is captured as the Accept DTtm; whereas; Laura explained that once a pt arrives to the ward (S4)& is actually under the care of the accepting medicine unit the "Accept DTtm" would be the same as the "Arrive DTtm". Could you clarify? How do you want to capture moves from one ward to the next? thanks Judy May 5th 2016. | |||
