== Location profile ==

D4 is a teaching medical ward which ~~in close proximity~~ to ~~the renal clinic,and specializes in renal patients. It is~~ the designated ward for the renal transplant patients ~~which includes~~ post ~~operative care~~.

D4 is a teaching medical ward, which prior to 2019 was the designated ward for the renal transplant patients. Transplant patients are now admitted to the High Obs unit, and return to the High Obs unit post-op. The majority of patients on this ward are admitted under "D" service, although Nephrology will also admit patients to this unit.
