==== How to uninstall a corrupted SAS 9.4 in Windows64-bit ====
Step 1: Backup your data
* Before uninstalling, back up any important SAS projects, libraries, or configuration files you may need later.
Step 2: Use SAS Deployment Manager to uninstall
*1. Locate SAS Deployment Manager:
** Go to the SAS installation folder, usually something like:
** C:\Program Files\SASHome\SASDeploymentManager\9.4
** Run SASDeploymentManager.exe as Administrator.
*2. Uninstall:
** Select "Uninstall SAS Software".
** Follow the prompts to remove SAS 9.4.
Note: If this runs successfully, you’re done. If the software is corrupted, this might not work or might error out.
Step 3: Use Windows Control Panel (if Deployment Manager fails)
* Open Control Panel > Programs and Features.
* Find SAS 9.4 in the list.
* Try to uninstall it normally.
If this fails or gives errors, proceed to manual removal.
Step 4: Manual removal (only if the above steps fail)
*1. Stop SAS Services:
** Open Services (search services.msc).
** Stop any services related to SAS.
*2. Delete SAS folders:
** Delete the SAS installation directories, usually:
** C:\Program Files\SASHome
** C:\Program Files\SAS
** Also check for folders in:
** C:\ProgramData\SAS
** C:\Users\<YourUser>\AppData\Local\SAS
** C:\Users\<YourUser>\AppData\Roaming\SAS
*3. Clean up Registry (Warning: Be very careful editing the registry!)
** Open Registry Editor (regedit).
** Backup the registry first: File > Export > Save backup.
** Search for keys related to SAS by pressing Ctrl+F and typing SAS.
** Delete SAS-related keys only.
*4. Remove environment variables:
** Right-click This PC > Properties > Advanced system settings > Environment Variables.
** Remove any SAS-related environment variables.
*5. Restart your PC.
Step 5: Clean with third-party uninstallers (optional)
* Use third-party tools like Revo Uninstaller or IObit Uninstaller to scan leftover files and registry entries.
Step 6: Reinstall SAS (if needed)
* After full removal, you can try reinstalling SAS 9.4 cleanly.

# The provider, Advantive LLC,  sends an invoice for the next year license renewal to the Stat Analyst.
# The Stat Analyst sends the invoice to the Admin Assistant. She  then prepares the Cheque/EFT requisition form and sends to Finance.
# Finance  processes the payment to Advantive LLC by sending Advantive a copy of the ACH Template.pdf and  asking Advantive to complete the ACH form to be sent back with voided cheque for verification  of the banking information.  Upon receipt of the ACH filled up form, Finance pays the amount by following the payment instruction.
# Finance informs the Admin Asst and Stat Analyst that payment has already been done.
# The provider, Advantive LLC, emails the renewal code to the Stat Analyst and she does the renewal of the SQC pack 8 software on her computer herself.
