Non-acute Medical/Geri rehab unit.

Non-acute Medical/Geri rehab unit, patients are almost always medically stable with discharge planning, examples include PCH, Geri-rehab, or HC. Should these patients develop acute medical problems, they are discharged from S3.

*14 beds allocated for VMU/CTU Medicine patients and 14 beds allocated for Family Medicine patients (FM patients are not entered into the Database). Admissions to S3 are frequently from: N5, S5, S4, ~~and occasionally ER. These patients are entered as NEW admits/profiles onto the S5/N5/S3 laptop. These~~ patients are almost always medically stable with discharge planning, examples include PCH, Geri-~~regab~~, or HC. Should these patients develop acute medical problems, they are discharged from S3.

The S3 Census Sheet is kept in a folder along with the N5/S5/S3 Data Collection Log.~~
