| ** AG REPLY --- this code is DISTINCT from all the other alcohol codes that relate to acute or chronic abuse, intoxication, etc. It exists along with its "cousins" [[Tobacco use]] and [[Illicit drug use]] just to indicate use. But, given that neither tobacco or alcohol is illegal, and we already have codes for abuse of those substances, I now think we SHOULD remove those 2. However, we should retain Illicit drug use. OK?}}
