The Laptop identifier has a bearing on various cross checks, output locations etc. Therefore, to change it all the related things need to be accounted for.
Check List
- local laptop settings
- set A_Info table/Settings (CCMBD.mdb) to new location
- directory structures
- add a folder Regional Server\data\<Laptop identifier of this laptop>\\ad.wrha.mb.ca\WRHA\REGION\SHARED\ICU_DATA_COLLECTION\data\<Laptop identifier of this laptop> (rather than re-name, to facilitate backing out if we can’t finish)
- add a folder Regional Server\data\<new Laptop identifier>\\ad.wrha.mb.ca\WRHA\REGION\SHARED\ICU_DATA_COLLECTION\data\<new Laptop identifier>
- add Data to local.bat from any of the other data subdirectories, they are all the same
- batch files
- set News and backup/Batstart.bat to new location
- test n&b to make sure new location and directory name don't break anything
- update locs.bat (used by Updt all.bat)
- workstations.mdb
- confirm with the statistician whether there is impact
- CCMDB.accdb which feeds CFE tables
- CFE - anything?
- possibly table s_tmp table
- s_dispo table
- find/search through all VBA modules for the new name, the current name, possible equivalent unit name
- make sure that the location name is not relevant to any of the queries/CCMDB.accdb Data Integrity Checks ; I can't think of a nice way to automate this.
- Category:Service/Location check might take care of this... if it was used consistently ;-)
Left to split out
- test sending to make sure new location and directory name don't break anything
