*In medicine, if a patient comes from another hospital for example from Gimli ER, then the pt goes to the ER at your hospital, do you put the Gimli code in the hospital previous slot?  I assume for medicine that the admit from would still need to be from ER at your own hospital in order to capture the moves and delays.  In the ICU program we would not do this as our admit from is the place of first entry to the hospital system, in this case our admit from would be XE and Gimli would be put in the hospital previous slot. --LKolesar 10:55, 19 March 2009 (CDT)
**In the above case... "admitted from XE" if the intention was to directly admit from the sending facility. Then in the tmp file put in the move time to the ward. At the bottom of the tmp file put "parked in ER".
*** This is also discussed in Direct Admission , I believe. Are those the same concept? If so, I think we should pull that into a separate article since it affects all of Admit From & Discharged To, this article and also Admit, Transfer and Discharge date and timeTtenbergen 15:19, 17 September 2009 (CDT) I still don't think I understand this well enough to figure out how to split these articles. Could someone who does please re-distribute this as content rather than discussion to one of the above (or possibly other) articles? * The city hospitals and extended care places are still listed on PDA and in CCMDB.mdb. Should they not be taken out? Is there any reason to keep them? Ttenbergen 15:19, 17 September 2009 (CDT)
**Yes, take out, if not already done. --TOstryzniuk 17:06, 14 September 2010 (CDT)
