* Joyce gets an error that a diagnosis for a patient who is from the OR is not a post-op diagnosis when it should be, and is on the CheckORDSX list. I can't duplicate that error. Likely this applies only to SICUs, or possibly community ICUs. Is anyone else getting this error? Ttenbergen 17:01, 1 September 2011 (CDT)

** Yes I get this error sometimes and I just continue on and it goes away. Lois
* Here is a likely scenario for how the error happens
** Yes, I have had this error as well. Sometimes it is because the priority number has not been entered yet and it will automatically give the error until you have the different diagnosis all in correct priority order.  However this message can persist for awhile but will eventually disappear and I really don't find it continues after going out of the pt profile and coming back in later.  --LKolesar 07:19, 6 September 2011 (CDT)
*# add a new diagnosis
** Yes, I get this error on surgical admissions. It seems to me that the error occurs when trying to enter an admit diagnosis such as, the reason for the surgery or problems during the OR. These "non post-op" entries are automatically assigned a priority of "0" which then ranks them higher than the surgical procedure with priority "1" already assigned.  I enter the priority before entering a non post-op diagnosis as an admit diagnosis to avoid getting the error message.Mlaporte 15:59, 6 September 2011 (CDT)
*# a priority of "0" is automatically entered, making it the highest priority on the list
*** Does anyone think it would be helpful if I defaulted to some priority other than 0, say 9? That if anything new was entered it would default to being less important or later, which is likely to be the case. I could likely also make it the next number after the current max, but that would probably introduce a second or two of lag time.Ttenbergen 15:44, 13 October 2011 (CDT)
*# if the priority is not changed before navigating away from the entry for the first time, the error checker finds it
*# a few more strange errors can happen around this time
