ICU Var 2 Currently there are two codes that are applicable to this slot:
- BRR - tag used for Cardiac Arrest Cooling Protocol. Click HERE for more information.
- Started June 2004. Consistent application of code didn't start at all sites until about Aug 2004?
- XBR Click HERE
- MAP- tag used to track those patient with an MI who have been put on the MI Care Map.
- started November 2004.
If both BRR and MAP are used coding BRR takes precedence over MAP.
Legacy Data
- OBS - tag for CON patient in ER telemetry, also here. Should only be in ICU Var 1. fix up in S-tables. The 4 patients that have been tagged in Variable slot 2 with OBS have had this code moved to ICU var 1 in master database.TOstryzniuk 16:39, 23 July 2008 (CDT)
