=== Proposed: Trach task vs Dx ==
* need to create: Med DX Tracheostomy 77400 but Trach Not in Task
** presumably this is not only the 00 subdx we need...
* need to create: Med_Task_has_trach but no Tracheostomy
If these always coincide then why do we collect a task at all? Ttenbergen 10:51, 2014 September 25 (CDT) discussion

*The problem is that in the "rules" the pt must have had the trach procedure done while on the ward, which rarely happens.  The "acute" rule only applies if it is a trach done in the last 48 hours which could happen.  I think that the collectors are counting all the trach patients whether the trach was done while on the ward or not, according to the numbers.  I do not see the value in whether it is acute or chronic because we no longer even do this in the ICU tiss.  I think there is more value in whether it is a temporary trach or permanent trach. (Just a suggestion).--LKolesar 15:02, 2013 May 8 (EDT)
