*When a coronary artery stent is done, a coronary angiogram and angioplasty must first be done. If you code coronary artery stent alone, it is assumed that an angiogram and a plasty were also done so you can code all three or you can just code coronary artery stent to capture all three. This was verified in the [[Task Team]] on October 20th, 2015.

Do not use this code for stent insertions for which it does not apply. See [[Stent insertions for which we don't have a specific code]].

* They are adding more vascular stents every day. Could we not make the vascular stents a generic group to capture these which are different from stents such as nephrostomy which don't involve the vascular system.
