When the clerk in CCU inputs a '''discharge date and time''' from one of the patients discharged. the data for the '''admitting unit''' is almost always to 5A which is right next door, therefore the discharge time from CCU is the same time as the "admit" to 5A in SBGH.  As well, when one of the CCU patients is discharged to the OR, it is the OR staff who come to collect the patient directly from CCU so the discharge into care of OR is also the same time. Other discharge destinations: "Home" or for Cardiac Transplant are also the same (Discharge from CCU = Admit to care of other unit).
STB is the only site where most patient info is available from electronic charts in [[STB Electronic Patient Record]].

I'm not sure if this is unique to CCU at SBGH. It's how it works for my unit.
