  • I just noticed this comment. Is it enough to code it as a comorbidity, or are we supposed to code everyone that has Atrial fibrillation (even if it is a chronic condition)in the admit codes as well?Mlagadi 08:53, 2019 June 6 (CDT)
  • AG REPLY -- the answer here is no different than from, say, hypertension. If it's present but stable (presumably being treated) and NOT an issue that has arisen or worsened and therefore part of the reasons for admission, then list it only as a Comorbid Diagnosis (updated that page to give this as an example). If that clears it up, please take out the question.
