RIS/PACS

RIS/PACS is the medical imaging database used by the WRHA. Some of our data collectors use it to count x-rays for Labs collecting.

Set-up

To access RIS/PACS the following is required:

• access needs to be granted to the user's computer account (usually done as part of Setting up a New Data Collector)
• the PCS PACS program needs to be installed on the laptops (usually done as part of Laptop Setup)

Direct access to data

As of 2011-07-28 Tina is looking into getting the lab counts directly from the RIS system rather than having collectors count and transcribe. Contacts are Breanne Batters (Manager, Access and Quality Improvement, Diagnostic Imaging Program) and Catherine Robbins (Breanne's boss).
