Beta testing

We generally roll out changes to CCMDB.accdb to all laptops, and have everyone test them, because we don't have designated testers, or a full testing environment. However, in some situations it makes sense to have only one or a few collectors test a new version of the program. This page explains how to organize that.

Pulling a beta version

You should only pull a beta version if Tina or main office has suggested you do so.

While beta testing is in progress, the beta version will be available at

• Regional Server\​\\ad.wrha.mb.ca\WRHA\REGION\SHARED\ICU_DATA_COLLECTION\ Programs/Beta

To pull it, double-click on the "copy_to_local.bat" in that directory.

A freshly pulled beta version may not include the newest Cognos2 data, so any beta tester would need to import that.
