Don't put paneling as the first diagnosis if a patient has acute problems and has been transferred to your ward for treatment of those problems. For example if a patient on a chronic unit has been paneled but gets HAP and transfers to your ward then the #1 diagnosis for your ward is HAP.This was discussed with Dr Garland at the task group meeting on March 1,2013.Trish Ostryzniuk 18:49, 2013 March 8 (EST)

Template:CCMDB Data Integrity Checks

  • If Admit Diagnosis 1 Diagnosis code is 9060* then:
    • Transfer Ready Date and Time must = Admit Date and Time to your unit.
      • Tina to implement new check since the old one was deleted with the original code. Ttenbergen 10:49, 2012 October 1 (CDT)
        • Putting this on hold for now, since this Dx will likely go away.

DX coded as Paneling but discharge home

Patients with diagnosis Paneling can still be discharged home.

Do not use Panelling for long term rehab (LTR)

Do not use code 906-1 Panelling, if patient goes to Deer Lodge for LTR (Long term Rehab). You could use 906-2 Discharge Planning if applicable reason for delay of discharge out of ward bed.--Trish Ostryzniuk 11:23, 2013 May 31 (EDT)

Patient Panelling Cancelled

If Panelling is initiated but then cancelled, please remove it from your DX code slots.--Trish Ostryzniuk 12:16, 2013 May 31 (EDT)

      • Does the discharge ready date remain and do we change to discharge planning instead?--CMarks 08:55, 2013 June 5 (EDT)

Who is using this administrative code?

The Statistician for medicine reports as requested by Dr. Dan Roberts.
