- Our coding process for patients who are admitted to ICU from the ER who have had a stroke and are given TPA in ER is as follows:
- CVA (505)
- TPA (763-2)
- (we tag patients who got TPA in ER as shown above)
Do not code hemiplegia associated with stroke
We have not been consistently coding if hemiplegia is associated with stroke, therefore do not code. We won't be including that level of detail.--TOstryzniuk 17:01, 27 August 2010 (CDT)
