Instruction:
Our coding process for patients who are admitted to ICU from the ER who have had a stroke and are given TPA in ER is as follows:
  1. CVA (505)
  2. TPA (763-2)
  • (we tag patients who got TPA in ER as shown above)


Do not code hemiplegia associated with stroke
