The wiki does not treat the “curvy” quotes Word likes to generate the same way it does generic straight quotes. They are treated as a special character, and they are not seen as external to words the way regular punctuation is. When you cut and paste to the wiki from an email, these curvy quotes get moved along in their curvy form. The wiki itself just uses the straight quotes as entered from the keyboard.

This is important when it comes to searching. If you have an ownership where the “someone‘s” is with a curvy quote, the wiki will not find this searching for “someone” curvy quotes are used.

This is only going to be relevant if you cut and paste into the wiki, the typing in there does not curvyfy the quotes automatically as word does.

To fix, just re-type the quotes in the wiki editor.
