I have no idea why; nor even when, my laptop chooses to delete information on a patient file but it does so sporadically. Today I found out that the admitting diagnosis was not there on a patient that I had done prior to their move to another ward. It was easy as they had just one diagnosis but I have noted in the past that checkmarks were deleted after I considered that part of the patient file complete. Do I have a ghost in the machine or what?? Prior to marking things complete, I check to make sure that they are but apparently this does not matter. (as per Con 2013-07-30)

- does anyone else have problems with data disappearing? Is there any pattern to this, like it happening when a specific field is entered or a button pressed? Ttenbergen 10:11, 2013 July 31 (CDT)
- I found that if I moved my laptop from one ward to another without logging off somehow the mouse would erase and click on and off stuff I had not entered. So now I log off to transport my laptop. (Shirley)
- I have never had data disappear but I know that if you inadvertently press 'page down' on your laptop it will look like the data has disappeared but it just moves up and you need to bring it back down again. Just thought I would mention this in case this is the problem you are having.--LKolesar 08:09, 2013 August 29 (CDT)
- I always go back to the Patient List page and disconnect my mouse before moving to another ward and have never had data missing.--Jpeterson 08:28, 2013 September 3 (CDT)
- My mouse is disconnected and am out of the program but stuff will still be deleted. As far as page down goes, if you exit the patient and go back in, there still is no admitting diagnosis because the program/laptop has deleted it. It has never magically come back.--CMarks 11:20, 2013 September 4 (CDT)
- okay, it is good to know that the mouse is not guilty. Did this occur after news and backup?? Just wondering.Trish Ostryzniuk 15:47, 2013 September 5 (CDT)
- This has occurred sometimes weeks after many news & backups were done. Also, just to clarify things...I do NOT have this problem when I am using another ward's laptop only when using my A4 one.--CMarks 07:54, 2013 September 6 (CDT)

- Is this still happening Con? anyone else? Ttenbergen 22:25, 2014 October 6 (CDT)
- As far as I can tell, it stopped.--CMarks 07:50, 2014 October 7 (CDT)
