Actual hours "at work" for a shift:

• MNU 8.25 hours
• CUPE 8.00 hours

Actual hours "paid" for a shift:

• MNU 7.75 hours
• includes:
  • "two" 15 minute paid breaks and
  • "one" 30 minute unpaid meal break
• CUPE 7.50 hrs

• there are no half day shifts unless posted by management.

Hours of work can be:

Day shifts only.

• 07:00 to 15:15 hrs
• 07:30 to 15:45 hrs
• 08:00 to 16:15 hrs
• 08:30 to 16:45 hrs
• 09:00 to 17:15 hrs

Attendance of meetings

• there are 4 mandatory collection team meetings each year. They are scheduled 1 year in advance and are always held on a Wednesday.
• attending these meeting is a requirement and is in the job description
• with the current "self scheduling," staff must schedule themselves to be at work for a 7.75 hrs shift on a team meeting date.
• The 2 hr meeting is part of the shift, it is not an extra 2 hrs of pay.
