*If cooling protocol is applied to a patient who has had cardiac arrest, what temperature do you take and include in your APACHE.[[User:TOstryzniuk|TOstryzniuk]] 23:24, 21 November 2008 (CST)
Discussed in Nov 21 ICU team meeting:

If a patient is '''actively cooled for therapeutic reasons''', use the most recent one prior to cooling. Reasoning is that is we don't have a value APACHE tells us to assume normal values.

If a patient is arriving from the OR cold, use the actual worst temperature since this low temp could also be a negative result of "having been open" for a long time.

Revision as of 21:36, 4 December 2008
