499-21 Other Overdose/Poisoning - accidental or toxicity - other drugs.

If problem more specific then you can use one of the following codes:

    • 211-1 Thrombocytopenia - 2nd to (any) drug sensitivity or toxicity (includes chemo)
    • 212-2 Pancytopenia - 2nd to chemotherapy
    • 212-3 Pancytopenia - 2nd to chronic Immunosuppression

Discussion

  1. I have had e few patients with drug toxicity, specifically to immunosuppressives. This is not iatrogenic, nor an overdose, nor an allergic reaction. Do you think having a specific code for drug toxicity in the Poison Section would be of benefit? FLindell 17:06, 18 August 2008 (CDT)
