Failure to Wean-Post OP

This code is often used because the pt has been unable to be weaned from the ventilator in PARR and subsequently needs an ICU bed. If possible the exact reason for the failure to wean should be also added. For example, OSA, fluid overload, copd exacerbation, etc. Utilizing only the code "failure to wean" would mean that it is unclear why this occurred.--LKolesar 12:04, 10 November 2011 (CST)

Pulmonary Edema/Fluid Overload

Post Op Neck Edema

This code can be used for patients who develop post op airway edema (not related to allergic reaction/anaphylaxis), who require re-intubation.
