This article contains only legacy information.
Lab collection process - tallying lab tests. For more information see Lab Collection Process.
The Critical Care program collects a count of a list (S_AllLabs) of labs performed.
At HSC labs (for Critical Care and Medicine) are downloaded. For more info see Lab downloading at HSC.
Data use
Used for research project only so far. Requests are usually for specific lab test items: Dr. Kumar (all lab data, if he using all, don't know), Dr. Manjit, Dr. Garland, Dr. Bell(Blood products). Labs are not reported in any regular periodic quarterly or fiscal year reports.Trish Ostryzniuk 16:15, 2012 October 1 (CDT) as per Statistician.
- Do we know if anyone is using the image data specifically? I am curious as this relates to RIS/PACS... Ttenbergen
Data Structure
The data is stored in the L_Labs table in the CCMDB.mdb. There are two separate tables for labs. One is for HSC ICU's only the other lab table is for all other ICU's in the city. The reason for this is that HSC downloads lab from the Hospital computer system and at other sites this is not done.......yet.
