The Survive / Expired field tracks if a patient survived to be discharged. Options are Survive, Expire.
The field name in Centralized_data.mdb and CCMDB.mdb is R_SurviveExpire.
Data encoding
This is one field in CCMDB.mdb. It is two fields (survive/expire) and (autopsy) in Ed's database. It was implemented as a single field to prevent the combination survive/autopsy.
Legacy Data
This field used to also encode whether a deceased patient had had an Autopsy. These were rolled into the "expire" option.
